trash queen – a feature film
Trash Queen, a female-forward horror-comedy, is the debut feature film from Joan of Art. The story follows Sophia, a promotion-hungry office worker desperate for respect, who gets more than she bargained for when a bite from a trash-dwelling alien cannibal leaves her craving human flesh. But when her washed-up musician boyfriend is infected and kidnapped, she must hunt down the Town Dump, take on the Trash King, and rise from overlooked nobody to Trash Queen to save the one she loves.
Currently in development, Trash Queen reflects our company’s mission to create bold stories that are fearless, funny, and unapologetically strange.
We’re planning to shoot in October 2026 in Index, Washington, and are currently connecting with collaborators, partners, and industry professionals interested in learning more about the project.
